The 1999 UK TR8 Day cont

Sunday morning began dry but cloudy, so a little apprehensively I awaited the arrival of the first cars. As promised, the Hampshire 8’s arrived in force about 9.30am and the preparatory work of the previous day was put to the test. Each driver was to be greeted on arrival and ushered into his/her correct position in the line up. With Roel and I signalling to each other as each car arrived, the positioning was achieved without a hitch. By 1.30pm most of the cars were in place and it was time for some serious discussions amongst the drivers regarding the merits of their respective vehicles. It was great to see so many people with a common interest, most of whom having not met before, so actively discussing their cars.
